June, 2005:
InOne Technology Provides DEX Hardware
And Software To Philadelphia Vending Vocational
School
Students at Edison/Fareira High School Vending Repair Class in Philadelphia, Pa., one of the only dedicated vending technical technician training programs in the country, are now receiving DEX training as part of their regular instruction, thanks to support from InOne Technology.
As DEX data retrieval and reporting have become more commonplace in the industry, the class instructor, James Clark, recognized the need to include DEX training in the curriculum. InOne Technology, a vending software system provider, answered that need with both hardware and software, providing students the opportunity to learn about DEX with the latest tools of the trade.
Students operate and maintain three soda machines in the faculty rooms of the school as part of their training. Earlier this year, those machines were upgraded by manufacturer's donations and now with the help of InOne Technology. Students service, collect, and DEX each machine. They then download the data into the shop computer, do cash reconciliation and make data entries. They complete this task by printing and interpreting the reports.

New Controllers Enable Operators to Upgrade
Older Snack Machines
The vending industry's first replacement controllers
for used snack machines was
just introduced by InOne Technology, Hunt Valley, Maryland. Called the DEXmate VMC, this new product features MDB, DEX, and guaranteed vend technology.
"Vending operators now have the opportunity
to revitalize their older snack machines and have
them operating like new ones," stated Gene
Ostendorf, InOne's CEO. "DEXmate can significantly
increase the efficiency and the commercial life
of older vendors."
To assure a simple installation, DEXmate has been
designed to use the same connection points as
the unit it replaces. "Installation is easy
and fast," said Ostendorf. "The DEXmate
VMC Controller also supports existing DumbMech
changers, bill validators, and card systems."
Ostendorf added. "You can even mix and match.
Its big-bill acceptance feature helps to make
DEXmate a very practical vendor upgrade."
With DEXmate prices can be changed or selected manually, on a keypad, a handheld, or a remote monitoring system; and DEXmate provides two-line display.
InOne Technology also offers a guaranteed-vend
option. "The sensor uses proven drop sensor
technology," Ostendorf pointed out. "Initial
response to the new DEXmate has been overwhelmingly
favorable," Ostendorf revealed. Operators
can now have the features of a new snack machine
in their older units, increasing their ability
to provide top quality service in all locations."
